Key Responsibilities:

Desktop Support:

  • Provide frontline technical support for desktops, printers (thermal & LaserJet) , scanners (2D Barcode scanner) , and other peripherals.
  • Diagnose and resolve hardware, software, and connectivity issues promptly to minimize downtime and ensure uninterrupted airport operations.
  • Install, configure, and update desktop/laptop systems and software applications as required.

Maintenance:

  • Perform daily/weekly maintenance of Hardware/software (Printer, desktop, and other peripheral devices)
  • Assist in troubleshooting network connectivity issues and implementing solutions to optimize network performance.
  • Monitor network, device & system performance and take the corrective action.

User Training and Documentation:

  • Develop and deliver user training sessions on the proper use of desktop systems and software applications.
  • ∙ Create and maintain comprehensive documentation, including user guides and troubleshooting resources, to empower airport staff to resolve common IT issues independently.

IT Asset Management:

  • Maintain an accurate inventory of all IT assets, including desktops, laptops, peripherals, and software licenses.
  • Track hardware and software purchases, warranties, and maintenance agreements, and plan for timely replacements and upgrades as needed.
  • Ensure compliance with asset management policies and procedures to optimize resource utilization and budgetary efficiency.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in desktop support and system administration, preferably in a high-demand environment such as an airport.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, with a strong understanding of Windows and/or Linux operating systems.
  • Familiarity with endpoint security solutions, network protocols, and ITIL best practices.
  • Familiarity with network protocols, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS, VPN, etc.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with a proactive approach to identifying and resolving IT issues.
  • Relevant certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+ or Microsoft Certified Desktop Support Technician (MCDST) are a plus.

Working Conditions:

  • This role may require occasional evening, weekend, or holiday work to accommodate maintenance activities or respond to critical incidents.
  • ∙ The position may involve working in a dynamic and occasionally noisy airport environment, requiring the ability to remain focused and adaptable to changing priorities.
