As part of our expansion into the AUSPAC region, we are building a local solutions capability to support airport transformation programs across Australia, New Zealand, and the Pacific.
Role Summary
WAISL is seeking a hands-on Senior Solution Architect to support growth across the AUSPAC region.
This is a delivery-focused, airport-experienced role. You will design integrated airport IT solutions, lead technical components of RFP responses, and coordinate WAISL and partner capabilities into coherent, defensible offerings.
This role requires strong operational understanding of airport IT ecosystems and the ability to translate that knowledge into practical, executable architectures.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop end-to-end solution designs across airport IT environments
- Integrate systems including AODB, Common Use (CUPPS/CUSS), BHS interfaces, security and screening systems, network and data centre infrastructure, and operational coordination platforms (APOC/AOCC)
- Ensure solutions are technically sound, commercially viable, and implementable
- Own the technical components of RFP/RFI submissions
- Translate customer requirements into structured solution architectures
- Identify risks, dependencies, and integration constraints early
- Participate in solution defence, technical workshops, and clarifications
- Work with WAISL global teams and third-party vendors to build cohesive solutions
- Structure multi-vendor architectures into a single accountable design
- Identify relevant ecosystem partners aligned to specific opportunities
- Represent WAISL in technical and operational discussions with airport stakeholders
- Engage confidently with executives, IT managers, and operations teams
- Articulate solution positioning clearly and professionally
Required Experience
- 6–10 years’ experience in airport IT or aviation technology environments
- Direct exposure to leading aviation IT providers
- Proven involvement in at least one complex airport tender from response through delivery
- Strong understanding of airport IT landscapes and operational systems
- Experience presenting technical solutions to customers

Location & Eligibility
- Based in Australia (minimum 5 years)
- Australian PR or Citizen (no visa sponsorship required)
- Preferred location: Sydney, Melbourne, or Brisbane
- Familiarity with AUSPAC airport markets preferred
Travel & Working Model
- Regular interstate travel within Australia for customer meetings, workshops, and solution presentations
- Periodic travel across the AUSPAC region (including New Zealand and Pacific Islands) as required
- Ability to travel on short notice during active tender and delivery phases
- Comfort operating in customer environments and representing WAISL in person when required
