Position Overview:

As a Wintel Lead, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing the Windows-based infrastructure and systems within our organization. You will lead a team of Wintel administrators, providing guidance, technical expertise, and ensuring the smooth operation of all Wintel-related services. Your role will be crucial in maintaining the stability, security, and efficiency of our Windows server environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Team Leadership:

• Lead and mentor a team of Wintel administrators, fostering a collaborative and high-performing work environment.
• Provide technical guidance, support, and coaching to team members, helping them achieve their professional goals.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and implement training programs to enhance the team’s skillset.
• Windows Server Infrastructure Management:
• Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of Windows-based server infrastructure.
• Monitor server performance, ensuring high availability and optimizing system resources.
• Plan and execute server upgrades, patches, and system migrations while minimizing downtime.

System Administration:

• Perform advanced troubleshooting and incident resolution for Windows server-related issues.
• Manage Active Directory (AD) services, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and other core Windows services.
• Implement security best practices and maintain compliance with organizational policies and industry standards.

Virtualization and Cloud Integration:

• Work with virtualization platforms such as VMware or Hyper-V to manage virtual machines and clusters.
• Collaborate with the cloud team to integrate Windows-based services with public cloud platforms like AWS or Azure.

Disaster Recovery and Backup:

• Develop and maintain disaster recovery plans for Windows server infrastructure.
• Ensure regular backups of critical systems and data, performing periodic recovery tests.

Qualifications and Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Wintel Lead or similar role, with hands-on experience in managing Windows server infrastructure.
• Strong expertise in Windows Server OS, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and related services.
• Experience with virtualization technologies like VMware or Hyper-V.
• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus.
• Solid understanding of security principles and best practices in a Windows environment.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Project management experience and the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
• Industry certifications like MCSE (Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert) or similar are advantageous.
